About me

By now you're probably aware that I'm Luke, but incase you hadn't noticed: Hi, I'm Luke.
Now at the back end of a solid 5 years of education in the field of sound and music technology, I'm on the search for jobs, projects, and opportunities to help out.

I have professional experience in both studio and live disciplines, as well as bits of vision mixing and lighting.
Outside of sound, I've been a volunteer with Redcar and Cleveland Youth Service for a few years, working in youth clubs and tutoring young people.

Goals

Past > Present > Future > Goals

Past

I've been interested in this field since 2014 when I worked on the sound for a school production of The Wizard of Oz. From there I've been through formal education of Levels 3, 4, and 5 of sound and music technology, learning about studio practice as well as live sound (and a bit of lighting too). Recently, I gained the Avid Certified Pro Tools User status, completing both the PT101 and the PT110.

Future

My aim is to gain as much knowledge and build my skills as much as possible, so I'm always looking for opportunities to better myself.

Present

Currently, I am in the final year of my degree:

BSc Sound and Music Technology (Hons).

Alongside this, I'm working on multiple projects including The MC6 Podcast, casual vision mixing at The Georgian Theatre, and emulating a range of guitar pedals through Max4Live (the first one is available here).

Goals

Below are some of my short term and long term goals:

  • Complete my degree

  • Become an Avid Certified Operator (Post)

  • Finish currently in progress Max4Live devices

  • Help you improve your sound
